Strymon El Capistan V2
Bring the sound of luscious tape delay to your rig with the updated El Capistan pedal from Strymon, which features improved hardware and interface adjustments. The first thing you might notice is an added Spring knob to access the built-in reverb directly; this was always a feature, but "hidden" on the second layer controls. Combined with the same gorgeous tape delay options for tape head and their modes, you can dial in a warm mood with ease. In the Fixed style you get a classic tape delay and the mode controls the length of the delay time by switching between 1 of 3 tape heads. Multi has the same three playback heads as the fixed version, but simultaneously uses two of the three playback heads to create rhythmic delays and the mode control changes which heads are active. Finally, the single tape head machine runs the tape at a fixed speed with Time adjusting the record head position; the modes offer us high speed, normal speed, and SOS looping of up to 20s in length. Full MIDI implementation gives you control over each knob and parameter using the USB-C port or TRS jack. A premium JFET input circuit gives you added responsiveness to your playing, and a selectable mono or stereo input is easily adjusted with a rear panel switch.
