Improving upon the beloved original, this second version of the Volca FM keeps all the fantastic controls and interfacing centered around the classic FM architecture of operators, with loads of algorithms to work with. Along with a dedicated LFO for creating slight vibrato to quaking modulation, each of the six operators can be customized for fine detail control, and every patch can run in mono, unison, or polyphony with up to six voices of playback. Finalize your sounds with the plush and widening chorus effect or even bloom fantastic tails with the added reverb for even more spatialization.

Create flowing and progressive arpeggios with immediate control over rate, division, and play direction of the arpeggiator, and lock motivic ideas down in the step sequencer, featuring a flexible design to easily manipulate time and pitch in a cinch. The unique motion sequencer offers high-detail movement across many parameters, making the Volca FM 2 come to life in performance or recording, and the addition of pattern chaining makes it easy to create fully fledged melodic ideas and chord progressions for full songs. Volca FM 2 works well with any other member Volca series as well as other analog and MIDI based devices, thanks to the analog sync I/O as well as both MIDI input and output, thus making Volca FM great for spreading its sequencer and arpeggiator across other devices!
