Nord Lead A1

The Nord Lead A1 is an analog modeling synthesizer with a 49-note Fatar keybed, 24-voice polyphony, and four synth parts that can be played simultaneously. Each synth part features its own dedicated output for enhanced routing and sound processing options.

The oscillator section utilizes two oscillators, starting with a single waveform then routing it through a configuration shortcut (such as pitch, detune, sync, shape, ring modulation, FM, noise, or dual oscillator mode). The configuration shortcuts offer a simple means of generating powerful sounds without the hassle of patching everything together.

The synthesizer’s filter section is comprised of 12 and 24dB low-, high-, and band-pass filters alongside emulations of the diode and ladder filters found in the Mini and TB-303 synthesizers. Additionally, the effects section features 6 onboard effects—including two analog models of ensemble and chorus effects in addition to classic effects like ring modulation, flanger, phaser, delay, and reverb.
